Tinder suits people who want a very widely used swipe app with a broad set of features, including Relationship Goals to signal intent and optional verification with Photo Verification and ID Verification. It works for anything from casual to serious dating, depending on how people use it.
Miragano
Miragano suits people who want to know that everyone they see is a real person who matches their photos, who want intent up front so they only see compatible people, and who want help going from a match to an actual date. It is newer and opening early access city by city, so there will be fewer people on it than on Tinder for now.

It can be, depending on what you want. Miragano is a swipe-first app like many others, but every member must be photo verified before they appear in Discover, everyone states what they're looking for, and the app is built to get you from a match to a real date. Safety tools are free for everyone. If those things matter most to you, it is worth trying alongside or instead of Tinder. Is Miragano free?
Yes. Miragano is free to join and free to date on. Free members get 25 likes a day, resetting at local midnight, plus bonus likes on each day of a streak, and can message every match. Optional paid plans add extras such as unlimited likes and seeing who likes you; they open with the app store launch. Photo verification, reporting, blocking, Safe Date Check-in and emergency information are never part of a paid plan, because safety should never be a premium feature. Cancelling a paid plan will be one tap.
How did you check the facts about Tinder?
We only used Tinder's own website, safety centre and help pages, read on 1 October 2026. Every row in the table links to the page it came from. If we could not confirm something from an official page, we left it out rather than guess, so a missing row means we did not find it, not that Tinder lacks it. Apps change often. Can I use Miragano and Tinder at the same time?
Yes. Nothing stops you using both, and plenty of people try more than one app. On Miragano you would need to be photo verified before you appear in Discover, and you choose an intent, an age range, who you want to meet and a search radius from 5 to 200 km. Miragano is opening early access in waves, city by city, through a free waitlist; when your invite arrives you join through the web app at app.miragano.com, as the iOS and Android apps are not in the app stores yet.
